Put Some Emotion Into Your Blogs For An Immersive Experience
Blogs can be interesting reads. Thousands are floating online as we speak covering various topics for any individual’s personal interest. Politics, travel, technology, fashion, science, cooking and home decor are but a few of the diverse blog types out there within the online ecosystem.
Sometimes I would spend days trying to figure out what my next blogpost will be but the real challenge is how to keep individuals continuing to read your blog. I think that inserting some personal emotion into a blogpost will make a big difference on whether you’ll have a one time reader or a loyal one. The best emotional blogs become a reader’s immersive experience. They understand your perspective and the information you’re providing can be a source of study.
I believe that once you achieve that you’ll successfully capture the reader and the best part is that you may receive positive responses from readers whether it’s a comment on your blog or a tweet. Having feedback about your blog shows that it can be very engaging and an engaging blog will get spread across social media channels.
Take for instance one of my blogs that was recently posted on the Huffington Post Travel section. It’s called Love Letters: Puerto Rico and it’s a personal travel blog I put together about Puerto Rico and my experience being there visiting family and exploring popular hotspots. The kind of emotion I put into the blog was a sense of nostalgia and love for the island that I’m from while at the same time provide some travel destinations for readers who may like to travel there. So far, I got some really good feedback from this particular blogpost and that’s the best outcome.
So next time you have an idea for a blogpost, inject some emotion into it.
