I will like to introduce you to my new blog, Media Rumba. It is originally called Solpersona and combines my strong interested in studying cyberculture, emerging media and Hispanic online media. I felt that it was time to give my blog a refresh so I selected a blog theme that will suit my purposes. I could have built a new blog from scratch, using either Headways or PageLines WordPress CMS frameworks but I really needed to get my blog completed quickly and, especially since I’m building a website for my upcoming wedding. I really like this new blog layout, it’s minimalistic in design and intuitive, users can seamlessly navigate throughout the blog and access information alot quicker since it’s more organized.

Media Rumba will be a continuation of my research into the above listed topics but I would like to invite professionals and academics and opportunity to contribute their experiences in a blogpost that I can assist them in putting together. I also wanted to share my growing interest in new media art, so expect some videos and images that I found online that pertains to artists utilizing these concepts and tools into various multimedia art forms.

I’m very excited and I look forward in continued interest in research and application of online media and share it with you all.
