Book Review: Cognitive Science, Literature and the Arts by Patrick Hogan
This is my first attempt at using Audioboo for this book review for Patrick Hogan’s Cognitive Science, Literature and the Arts. Overall, a very good research book that offers in depth exploration of the human cognitive process during the interpretation and emotional understanding of the arts.

You made some interesting statements on the book. Makes me want to know about it and why society craves a good movie. I want to know what I could learn from this book? I am into learning new interesting subjects. This book would work great in a senior English high school class. I probably would not have the mind set for it in high school but I’m in my prime so its more interesting to me now. Can I just borrow the book from you? 🙂
I think English, Art and Film classes will definitely get alot out of this book. I think a good general knowledge of cognitive science will help grab a better understanding on developing art and literature that will attract the right audience, even at an emotional level.
