It seems that both technology and humans are becoming more intertwined as we continue to interact more with online media such as mobile technology, social media and different forms of interactivity. With this relationship comes further study into how we interact not only with technology but with other people while utilizing it and that’s where the study of cyberpsychology comes in.

Cyberpsychology is defined as the study of the human mind and behaviour in the context of human-technology interaction. It encompasses all psychological phenomena that are associated with or affected by emerging technology. Universities have started to build degree programs based on this field and one of the ones I found that offers both research and application courses is Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Dublin, Ireland.

The program is offered at both the master and certification level which aims to provide graduates with an in-depth understanding of how humans interact with technology and in online environments.
