If you haven’t seen my Pinterest boards, the intent of my boards is to display images related to both New Media Art and Latino Art. I’ve always had an interest in art and I believe that having Pinterest will allow me the opportunity to delve more into it by studying and collecting artworks for my Pinterest boards; In a way it makes me kind of like an online gallery curator.

Also this allows me to work with Pinterest and its analytics functionality since this particular social media platform can help drive traffic to a website and help build relevancy and authority for a brand and/or service. So far, my Pinterest boards have been doing very well but I feel that I need to add more to my visual gallery than just images so for my next plan I will start pinning links that offers content related to my selected art genres such as artist interviews, tutorials, artist blogs, etc.

With the additional content, I feel my followers will get more value out of the resources and this will also help me expand on my digital art knowledge. So definitely take advantage of Pinterest if you don’t have an account and get started on pinning based on your interests or if you like to add Pinterest for your business, do the research and make sure that it’s the right platform for you and your business. Be creative and personal not make it a sales pitch.
