Free Online Education Is Available For All Media Enthusiasts
Whether it deals with web design, animation, social media, seo and content management it’s an exciting time to be in any kind of media field. This is also a great time for those who have worked their whole lives in traditional public relations and advertising to get on board and seek new opportunities. However, to be in the new media field is to also adapt to constant changes as technology evolves to improve designs, interfaces and all forms of communications.
Sometimes, individuals would go back to school to receive a graduate degree or some kind of special certification of their new media field of choice but with tuition costs rising and the slow economy requiring to find a good paying job to pay the bills, it makes it difficult to find the time to get the extra education.
Well, there’s great news for those who wish to continue their education. Right now, there’s a wide selection of websites that offer various lessons from text, audio to videos that are as close to a classroom curriculum as it gets. Just recently, both M.I.T. and Stanford got together to produce online courses for free.
It’s pretty amazing that renowned science fiction writer, Isaac Asimov, predicted the concept of open source education in an online environment almost 20 years ago as the YouTube video shows.
