Puerto Rico Can Become The Hub For Caribbean Startups
I love my island of Puerto Rico. This beautiful island is known for its music, people, history, culture and now its growth in both the tech and creative industries. Mark Hayward, a successful entrepreneur and business consultant living in Puerto Rico, noticed this community of “creative technologists” while attending various meetups on the island such as Bar Camp Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Founder Institute.
Mark saw the potential of Puerto Rico as being a leader within the technological industry in the Caribbean which would definitely help bring a positive surge to the economy, educate students in the various areas of technology and drive entrepreneurs to invest in Puerto Rico’s young but growing tech fields.
“Puerto Rico is in the midst of a revolution. Certainly there has never been a shortage of creativity, innovation, or entrepreneurs here, but more recently, the tech startup scene is emerging as a global force.”
This observation inspired Mark to put together an ebook called Sun, Surf, and Startups, a collection of testimonials and stories from several business professionals that are involved in Puerto Rico’s business startup and innovative entrepreneur economy.
Each of the successful entrepreneurs listed in the ebook offer their own perspective of making a successful startup and presenting ideas on how Puerto Rico can produce tech communities. What I like about this ebook is that Mark made each of the individual’s social and contact information available in case those who are truly inspired can reach out to them for advice or perhaps develop some kind of mentorship.
I highly recommend you read this ebook so download a free copy of Mark Hayward’s Sun, Surf, and Startups or head over to Mark Hayward’s blog to get more information about. If you need assistance in starting your own business, he’s available to provide consultation. A big thanks to Mark for putting this together and I look forward to the latest version!
